Generate & Apply Niche Config

Niche configs are the bridge between competitor analysis and your content. The system analyzes what works for successful creators and generates optimal settings for your channel.

Generating a Config

  1. Go to Trends Overview in the sidebar
  2. Find your niche in the Niches section
  3. Click Config to go to the niche config page
  4. Click Regenerate Config

The system:

  • Aggregates patterns from all analyzed videos in that niche
  • Identifies which hook types, tones, durations, and CTA strategies correlate with higher performance
  • Synthesizes this into a configuration with a confidence level (low/medium/high, based on sample size)

Understanding the Config

The generated config shows several sections:

Content Style

  • Visual style: What background type works (stock footage, talking head, text overlay)
  • Music type: Whether background music helps or hurts
  • Text density: How much on-screen text performs best

Pacing

  • Average duration: Optimal video length in your niche
  • Average WPM: Speaking pace that works best
  • Hook delivery speed: How quickly the hook should resolve

Hook Examples

Actual hooks from top-performing videos — use these as inspiration for your prompt templates.

Applying to a Channel

At the bottom of the config page is the Apply to Channel section:

  1. Select your channel from the dropdown
  2. Click Apply Config

This maps the analysis results to your channel’s actual settings:

  • If visual_style is “stock_footage” → enables Pexels slideshow provider
  • If music_type is “background_music” → enables the music provider
  • Duration and WPM recommendations inform the script generator automatically

Note: Applying a config merges with your existing settings — it won’t overwrite things like your voice choice or colors.

When to Regenerate

Regenerate your niche config:

  • After tracking new channels and ingesting fresh videos
  • After a few weeks of new snapshot data
  • When you notice content performance changing
  • When you expand to a new sub-niche

The more data you feed in (tracked channels, analyzed videos, snapshots), the higher the confidence level and the better the recommendations.
